Wyre Data - UK Restaurant API
An API to search for all restaurants, pubs, bars, hotels, cafes, coffee shops and nightclubs in the UK. Find establishment names, addresses, postcodes, food hygiene ratings, local authorities, latitudes, longitudes and plenty more!

27/01/22
- Stability -Fixed server crash when searching for London (too many results 22,564 with too many fields in each result)
- Added projection so now only 5 x fields returned plus the lat and long fields.
- limitQuery - Added optional query parameter ‘limitQuery’. This allows a number to be set to limit the results returned
- Added code to check for if this parameter is used or not. If no number is set/parameter not used then default to arbitrary limit of 35,000. Max results returned are under this (e.g. London 22,564)
- This optional parameter can be used with any of the endpoints
- partialMatch - Added optional query parameter ‘partialMatch’ to the Find by Restaurant endpoint only.
- Does not correct typos
- If a correctly spelt restaurant is entered it will try to find an exact match as well as partial matches e.g. if ‘Mowgli’ is searched for it will return ‘Mowgli’ as well as ‘Mowgli Indian Takeaway’
- Added new indexes on database to improve speed

- Scottish Ratings - Scottish ratings were displayed as 'undefined'. This has now been fixed in the DB.
- Ratings in Scotland have a different system to the rest of the UK. Scotland uses strings (e.g. ‘Pass’, ‘Fail’ etc) where as rest of UK uses numbers (e.g. 1-5).

- Wiltshire Local Authority - DB was missing Wiltshire local authority.
- DB was missing Wiltshire local authority, this has now been fixed.

- Added TOS to prevent data caching, scraping, creation of own datasets etc.
